The challenge
Administration was taking attention away from people.
Talkback supports autistic people and people with learning disabilities. Its published case study describes fragmented referrals, repeated lesson-plan preparation and reporting spread across Word and Excel.
Consent records, session planning and feedback were difficult to coordinate consistently. Staff needed a clearer way to evidence individual progress to local authorities while managing day-to-day delivery.
TTG’s response
Bring the work together in VitaSkills.
TTG developed the cloud-based VitaSkills application to connect enquiries, member information, consent, session planning, staff assignments and feedback.
The change was not simply moving forms online. Connected records gave staff a shared approach to organising the service and following a person’s development, while preserving individual learning needs.
How the work changes
From separate records to a connected learning picture.
The published VitaSkills framework groups the work into enquiry management, member management, training management and insight management. Within those areas, consent, assessment, class planning, delivery, feedback and reporting form a connected picture.
Connected learning practices, assessment and progress records support more consistent review preparation, while the evidence remains specific to each learner.
The outcome
Administrative capacity, with the person still at the centre.
Talkback reported 36,000 administrative hours saved annually through this customer engagement.
TTG received Team of the Year recognition at the UK IT Industry Awards 2024 for its VitaSkills work with Talkback. Astra Pathways is the adopted provisional name for the learning-pathways solution in today’s portfolio. The award relates to the historical VitaSkills work.
